Kayode Abifarin popularly known professionally as King Tri-Zi, is a Nigerian Singer-songwriter, Musician and Graphic Designer. He was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. He rose to prominence in Cinema of the United States with the commercially successful and widely acclaimed romantic drama, making him one of the most successful filmmakers in Cinema of the United States. Not only that, but he made his thanks credit debut with Bad Boys for Life (2020). The film went through several attempts to enter production over the course of a decade, with a variety of writers and directors attached. The project was eventually finalized and green-lit in October 2018, and filming began the following year, lasting from January to June 2019. Principal photography took place in Atlanta, Miami, and Mexico City.
Bad Boys for Life was theatrically released in the United States on January 17, 2020, by Sony Pictures Releasing under the Columbia Pictures label. The film was generally well-received by critics, becoming the best-reviewed film in the series. It grossed $426.5 million worldwide, making it the biggest January release of all time and the fourth highest-grossing film of 2020. Its box-office run abruptly ended when theaters closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. He is known for several categories in the movie database as he made credits in the film (The Loud House (2021), Bad Boy, Fast & Furious 9, Avengers, Mome, Indeed:Islands, The Green Knight, Deep, Locked Down, The Suicide Squad, Hungama and more making 75 total credits in film.
Early life and education
Kayode was born in Lagos at Police Hospital, Police college off, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja, Nigeria. His ancestors originally belong to Ifetedo, a city headquarters of Ife South Local Government Area of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, while his mother hailed from Ogbere Ijebu, a city headquarters of Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Abifarin attended St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School Ogbere Ijebu, Ogun State, Nigeria where he was the Head Prefect Boy 2002/2003 academic session. He finished Senior Secondary School at Ayanbeku Memorial Grammar School Ifetedo, Osun State Nigeria where he was the Social Prefect Boy in 2008/2009 academic session. After his secondary education, he returned to Lagos and get employed with Porcelain Industry Limited (PIL) manufacturer of Prime Nigerian Tiles (PNT) and Knight Metal Manufacturing (KMM) both are divisions of WEMPCO Group of Company as a forklift operator. He later travel to Accra Ghana to pursue his editing course at Mickey Computer Institute in Accra, Ghana. He later leave there to study in india for his tertiary education at Delhi University, New Delhi India and was awarded a degree in Software engineering in the year 2020. His mother wanted him to be a Pilot, but he was more keen on music and film industry at World level. His friend whom he met in India then asked him to apply to the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune during his stay, but the acting course had shut down and his chances of admission to the directorial course looked slim as there were far too many applicants before the first locked down waves in New Delhi. He later opted for the editing course, and earned a certificate in Graphic design.
Career
Kayode gradually established himself as a designer, singer, songwriter and producer for advertising films. He tried his luck as a film editor for many years. Bad experiences forced him to shift to advertising him self in the Industry. He began his career as to Production Designer and was involved in the making of Bad Boy (2020). This film earned the Critics Award for Best film at Film fare. He rose to prominence in Indian cinema with a triangular love story. It was a great commercial and critical success. He made all those hard work which makes more successful to himself as a good artist.
He released his first official single titled "Your Body" which was produced by award-winning producer Steve Rawd and recorded at SM Music Records in New Delhi, Delhi, India. The song went viral on Rizzle with 25,000 views in one day. “Your Body” was officially released under his own label “King's Records” in October 2021 and to the surprise of his fans, he released another hit single titled “Sinner” produced by Z3NA under owned record label King's Records in November 2021. Two songs by Les are part of his massive EP titled "Lots of Love".
